About Laurie Heiner, PT, DPT, CFMT
Laurie is a Colorado native who followed her passions for arts and science to New York. She graduated from Skidmore College with double major in dance and exercise science and moved to New York City where she graduated from CUNY Graduate Center-Hunter College with a doctoral degree in physical therapy. It was there that she was exposed to the Institute of Physical Art and became fascinated by their philosophy for patient assessment and care. After receiving paramount mentorship during her clinical affiliations, she has eagerly pursed her certificate in Functional Manual Therapy achieving this very high level of excellence in 2017. While she loved her years in New York, she has been excited to return to her home state where she can fuel her appetite for distance running, mountaineering and other adrenaline-charged activities.
