Molly Saunders, PT, DPT graduated with her doctorate in physical therapy from Hunter College in New York in 2015 where she received awards in anatomy and a scholarship for professional excellence. She has been practicing in New York City but is thrilled to be back home in Boulder where she was born and raised.
Molly got interested in the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) while still a student and was lucky enough to spend one of her doctoral rotations at the IPA Manhattan clinic. She is deeply motivated by the IPA approach – looking at the whole body as an integrated system, using her skills to uncover underlying causes of patients’ dysfunction and addressing them at the source rather than chasing symptoms and focusing on pain alone.
She has also expanded her treatment repertoire by exploring coursework on Visceral Mobilization from the Barral Institute, Pelvic floor treatment from Herman & Wallace and the Maitland-Australia Manual therapy approach.
When not in clinic, she and her family (husband and two dogs) are much happier to be back in Boulder where they can hike, bike and be closer to family.
